SAFETY CERTIFICATE

A periodic investigation for manoeuvring systems is highly recommended by The Dutch Council of Transport Safety after a recent investigation concerning accidents with inland vessels. Many of these accidents happen due to rudder defects. A very important recommendation is a periodical inspection for manoeuvring systems. Often these systems suffer from poor maintenance and poor refits.

Already in 1988 Van der Velden Marine Systems developed and implemented a Safety Inspection System for manoeuvring systems.

Van der Velden Marine Systems carried out hundreds of safety inspections since 1988, passing the 2500 mark in March 2007.  Our deliveries apply to the most stringent internal procedures and our experts make sure the hydraulics, piping and electricity are properly installed.
